How is big rig windshield care different from regular care?

  • Experienced big rig truck drivers recognize that they should not trail other big rigs too closely in bad road conditions. This minimizes the likelihood of rocks kicking up.
  • Semi truck drivers park in safe areas away from natural hazards or potential vandals.
  • Your big rig windshield cracks or chips are repaired right now.

Semi truck drivers and big rig truck drivers will hold commercial insurance. Commercial truck insurance policies will have various levels of tolerable equipment conditions than normal car insurance policies. Whenever a truck driver sees a glass issue, they ought to get it fixed promptly. This will keep their truck in excellent standing with the commercial insurance policy. Big rig windshields are constructed to last. However, if you operate a commercial truck or van, you understand that the risk you will face of damage as you log a lot of highway miles is a bit more than the risk a driver of an economy car will face.

Windshield FAQ

How Do I Remove The Windshield Wiper Switch?
I Have A 1993 Chevrolet S-10 2.8L 5-Speed With A Bad Windshield Wiper Switch. I Subscribe To Alldatadiy.Com And Have Used The Information Obtained There To Remove The Steering Wheel, Steering Column Lock, Turn Signal Cam, Lock Cylinder And Everything Needed To Get Access To The Windshield Wiper Switch. The Steering Column Has No Tilt Wheel. I Know That Particular Switch Has A Rod That Goes From It, Down The Outside Of The Steering Column To The Headlight Bright & Dim Switch, I Have A New Replacement Switch Already But I Just Can'T See How To Remove The Old One. I Did Proper Troubleshooting To Determine That The Switch Is Bad And Not The Module On The Wiper Motor. Even The Information On The Alldata Site Is Pretty Vague And Doesn'T Really Say How To Remove The Switch. Does Anybody Know How To Remove This Switch Or Know Where I Can Find Useful Information To Get This Job Done? I'Ve Asked Nearly Everybody I Can Think Of Except A Chevrolet Dealer But They Wouldn'T Tell Me Anyway For Obvious Reasons. They'Re In The Business Of Fixing Cars, Not Giving Out Free Information. This One Really Has Me Stumped. Thanks In Advance For Any Helpful Information.

We have recently uploaded some videos on our company website to give you first hand viewing of how to remove, disassemble, and reassemble the tilt column you are talking about. They are broken down into step by step 2-3 minute detailed videos with instructions. Although the videos are for a Chevrolet truck, the column is very similar to yours.

How To Replace A Car Windshield?
Have A Cracked Windshield. How Would I Go About Replacing It Myself, I Know How To Work On Cars, But Never Did A Windshield Before. Any Tips? How Would I Remove The Windshield? My Car Aswell As One At The Junkyard? What Adhesives Would I Need To Install? Any Special Tools? Cheaper Ones Since I Don'T Do This That Often. I Heard That The Newly Installed Windshield Shouldn'T Be Driven For 24 Hrs After And Not To Open Side Windows While Driving For A Whole Week. Correct? Also, Just For The Future, Is It The Same For A Rear Window? Or Is A Not As Strong Adhesive Not Required? I Will Look It Up, But Thought I'D Ask Anyway For Some Tips. Thanks

The tool you need is first one on the page it breaks the seal around window. The you will need whatever seal or gasket to replace the one you took out. To be safe what you read is correct 24 hours to let new window settle and dont drive high speed with windows open for at least a few days

Will Ford Super Duty Truck Prices Fall In The Future?
Hello. I Am A Sophomore In High School And I'M Saving Money To Purchase A What Will Be A 2013 Ford F-450 Super Duty. As Everybody Knows These Trucks Are Expensive. I Was Wondering If The Price Would Fall In The Near Future Considering The Status Of The U.S Economy. So What Is The Price Outlook For The Truck Mentioned Before?

Assuming a relatively modest economic reovery over the next several years, chances are pricing for this model will slightly outpace the general car market during your savings window. As another answer mentions, this model is intended mostly for commercial or towing use. These market segments have generally deferred purchases during the economic downturn, and demand for replacement vehicles will increase as the economy strengthens.

This _is_ a rather unconventional choice for a HS Sophomore saving for a first(?) vehicle. Do you anticipate towing a trailer or hauling heavy loads? Your business, but if you're just looking for a "big truck," a 250 or 350 will give you everything the 450 does (except the extra towing capacity).

Good luck!
