How is big rig windshield care different from regular care?
- Experienced big rig truck drivers recognize that they must not trail other big rigs too closely in bad road conditions. This decreases the likelihood of rocks kicking up.
- Prevention is key and truck drivers comprehend that. Due to this fact, they typically park in secure areas.
- Truck drivers are professionals. As soon as they do get a chip or crack in their windshields, they get it repaired as soon as possible.
Semi truck drivers and big rig truck drivers will hold commercial insurance. Commercial truck insurance policies will have various levels of satisfactory equipment conditions than typical car insurance policies. Most service vehicles must be in great shape in order to be driven, so truck drivers should promptly address windshield damage to make sure that they do not violate the terms of the business vehicle insurance policy. The fabrication of a truck's windshield glass is a bit heavier duty than a car. Whilst that may be the case, trucks generally log more highway miles than cars. For that reason the probability of experiencing a glass chip or crack is much higher.

Ways To Get Rid Of Mold And Mildew In Car Floor Boards?
I Have A 2001 Pontiac Bonneville And The Back Window Regulars Need 2 Be Replaced Because The Windows Are Down An It Constantly Has Rained Inside The Car. In The Floor Boards It Is Nearly Hard As A Rock From Being Caked Up With Mold And Its Stained Real Bad. I Was Wondering How I Should Go About Takin Care Of This And What I Should Use. I Believe The Best Thing Would Be Bleach But That Would Bleach Out The Color Wouldn'T It ? And I'M About To Get The Windows Fixed So This Won'T Happen Anymore. Tips And Ideas Would Be Appreciated
Sirki and Mitire both have good ideas. I'd try their wash and dry and baking soda and mothballs first because it won't cost you much. If that doesn't work you might have to remove the carpeting and padding and replace them. Here's an info page that could help you out in that case :
You might also want to consider having your local detail shop do a good clean up job on your car. It'll cost more - but they can probably get rid of things like smells and stains that you'd have a problem with.
How Much Would These Car Repairs Cost?
My Mom Is Going To Give Me Her Old Explorer, But I Have To Get Some Repairs Done. I Have To Get 4 New Tires, Possibly A New Battery. All Four Of The Locks On The Doors Are Broken. The Two Back Doors Won'T Even Open. The Front 2 I'M Pretty Sure Just Don'T Lock Period. The Driver'S Side Window Doesn'T Stay Up On It'S Own. The Bumper On The Front Of The Vehicle Is Tied Up In Place With A Rope Or Something...So I'Ll Have To Replace That. The Trunk Door Won'T Open, I'M Pretty Sure That'S Another Lock Issue. And Her Brakes May Be Messed Up, I'M Not Sure. Also The Part Right Under The Steering Wheel Is Falling Off. I'M Sure That'S An Easy Fix. Does Anyone Know Around How Much All Of This Could Cost?
Too much for the value of the truck. I had explorers, and when the doors are going away, it's time to get rid of the truck. Sell it for parts and use that money for something else.
Power Window Help....Please!?
Last Week, I Had A Thin Layer Of Ice On My 2001 Dodge Durango. I Tried To Roll My Drivers Side Window Down And It Broke. Not The Glass, But Something Plastic On The Inside. The Motor Works Fine. My Husband Took It Apart And Found A Plastic Piece That Had Broken Off Somewhere, But He Couldn't Find Where It Went. Its White, Looks Like A Half Moon With A Hallow Rectagle Attached To It. On The Back There Is A Square With A Circle In The Middle. (This Is Where It Broke) You Can Tell Because It Looks As If The Plastic Gave Away. I'm Hoping I Can Just Buy This Part. If Anyone Needs A Pic, I Can Email It To You. Thank You So Much!
all you have to do is go to any dodge dealer they carry those in stock all the time for those trucks i own two of them and one has already had both put in it,its not to bad of a job ,but if you haven't ever done this you might want a shop to do it otherwise you can damage the new one once its back in if its not put in right,a good repair manual sure comes in handy when working on those also, that's the window regulator is the part your looking for and they dont need the old part to match it up with they know what part to give you, good luck.
