My first thought was regarding a potential problem with the unit being grounded. I don't know what the story with your windshield motor is nor of the 1993 model year specifically... but that's what I would check because it might be vital to the unit working correctly. If it's supposed to be grounded and isn't then it may not function normally. That may not entirely make sense being that it works as long as the button is pushed... but it's worth looking into.
I would also double check the wiring. First to make sure it's all reconnected correctly and also to make sure I didn't accidentally damage any of the wiring itself. After that? It's possible the replacement unit isn't the right one... and also that it is bad out of the box from a parts supplier. I've seen that happen so many times it's not funny. Double check you have the correct wiper motor for your truck (use the part number to double check) and see if there's any bench test for the motor. Ok. Here’S The Deal. Two Days Ago, I Got Stuck In Traffic (Standstill) On The Interstate Highway. Some Guy In A Subcompact Came Racing Down The Highway And Smashed Into The Back End Of My 2004 Titan Crew Cab. The Little Saturn Hit My Class-4 Tow Hitch And Was Demolished.
His Insurance Company Did A Quick Visual Inspection (Before The Body Shop Strips It Down And Examines The Frame). They Set Minimum Damage At $9,200. But The Insurance Guy Left A Phone Message Saying They Might Have To Total It Out And Pay Me Cash Value.
Here’S The Problem. I Got A Very Good Deal On This Truck Last Summer. I Bought It With 14,000 Miles For $14,900 Plus 1,500 For An Extended Warrantee. It’S A Crew Cab Four Wheel Drive (See Picture Below). But Now I Can’T Find A Suitable Replacement For Less Than 17,500.

OK, so I'm back. He said that most insurance co. will payout actual cash value for the vehicle minus depreciation.
So in your case it would be the cost of the vehicle in 2004, plus 4 1/2 yrs of depreciation, and he said that all Co. are different when it comes to the depreciation manuals that they use.
I tried to get more from him but he was on a business trip, any way it sounded like your at the mercy of the insurance company, so let's hope that they will be fair.

Haven'T Driven My Car For A Week And It Won'T Start?
I Recently Went On Vacation (About A Week Ago) And I'Ve Had My Car Parked At My Aunts House For That Period Of Time. It'S A 2009 Pt Cruiser And Nothing Will Start, The Lights, Locks...Nothing. Around August Or September I Had To Replace The Battery. It Was Literally Dying Everyday. Replaced The Battery And Had It Checked Out For Making Strange Jolting Sounds. They Said Everything Looked Okay And It Was Running Fine Up Until I Left.
Of Course We Thought Right Away It Could Be The Battery. The Next Morning We Tried Jumping The Car. The Lights, Locks, And Car Came On But It Wouldn'T Crank. We Had It On There For A Few Minutes Before We Got Discouraged And Thought Something Else Might Be Wrong With It...

It'Ll Most Likely Be Towed In A Few Hours To Get Checked Out, But I Was Hoping Someone On Here To Give Me Their Insight On The Situation.
A three year old car shouldn't be having problems with starting or with batteries going dead. And if you recently replaced the battery, they've gotta be good for at the minimum, five years. So I don't think you need a new battery again.
Rather, it sounds like some light must have been on to cause the battery to so fully drain. Lead Acid batteries are notorious that if you deep cycle them they just don't like to come back to life. In short, if something drained the battery you MIGHT have to replace it again. But there are other conditions that could have caused you problems: If you installed a new battery but it wasn't fully charged before installing it you MIGHT have hurt the alternator. If the alternator isn't charging then you can still drive the car on battery power but it won't last. It may have lasted just far enough to get you to Aunt Rhodie's house, but didn't have enough power left to start again.
My neighbor had two cars that had to be started every day or the battery would be dead. Both cars were old and both had new batteries. The Chevrolet had a parasitic drain caused by what we determined to be was the power lock system. When we removed the fuse for the power locks the battery voltage responded positively. So we left the fuse out and that was the end of the dead battery problem in his Chevy Lumina. However, he bought a Chevrolet Blazer that it too had dead battery syndrome. He couldn't figure it out. When I looked at the truck there was a vanity lighted mirror over the passenger visor that had lost the cover. When the cover was open the light would be on. Since the cover was missing the light was ALWAYS on. Hence, the dead battery every morning. We removed the light bulb and that was the end of DBS (Dead Battery Syndrome).
If your car doesn't have electrical power then it has to do with the battery or the alternator (or a loose, worn or broken belt). If the car doesn't want to jump start put a battery charger on it and leave it for several hours. Let the battery take a charge. Then try starting it or jump starting it. Then, if you have a volt meter, check the battery voltage while the engine is running. The voltage should be going up to nearly 14 volts. A little over 14 is not a problem. But the voltage should show signs of going up - not down. If the voltage is below 12 volts then I'd suspect you may have a bad alternator, possibly caused by the battery replacement.
If the voltage looks good, everything is going up - switch all electrical devices on; lights, fan on high, radio, rear window defogger. Check the voltage again. If it's falling below 11.8 volts (or more) then you definitely have a charging problem.
Spark plugs? No. Fuel on empty? No. If the engine doesn't crank then it's either a dead battery or a bad starter. But if ALL things electrical are not coming on then it's more likely the battery.
