Here are some distinctions between truck glass issues vs. auto glass issues.

  • To avoid rocks flying into the rig's windshields, truck drivers typically allow for lots of space between their rig and the truck in front of them, especially on coarse roads.
  • Avoidance is key and truck drivers comprehend that. Thus, they typically park in secure areas.
  • Truck drivers are experts. When they do get a chip or crack in their windshields, they get it repaired right away.

Semi truck drivers and big rig truck drivers will hold commercial insurance. Commercial truck insurance policies will have various levels of acceptable equipment conditions than normal car insurance policies. To adhere to higher insurance criteria, truck drivers must get their glass fixed as quickly as they experience a problem. Click for Windshield Replacement information.

The glass that goes into a truck is normally a little more tough as compared with a car's glass. Whilst that may be the case, trucks ordinarily log more highway miles than cars. Therefore the probability of experiencing a glass chip or crack is much higher.

Rental Car Glass Insurance?
I Rented A Hyundai For A Few Days And I Got A Windshield Chip From A Truck In Front Of Me. When I Returned The Car They Said That Their Insurance Company Would Get In Touch About It. I Ended Up Getting A Letter From What I Would Call A Collection Agency With A Bill For 467.00 To Replace The Windshield. My First Problem With This Is That The Windshield Could Have Been Repaired By A Company Such As Safelight. My Second Problem With This Is That $467 To Replace A Windshield On A Hyundai Accent Seems To Be An Outrageous Price. I Did Not Purchase The Insurance That Is Offered By The Rental Car Company As I Do Have Full Coverage Insurance I Do Not However Have Glass Coverage. But I Am Sure That The Rental Car Company Must Have Glass Coverage On Their Policy Or I Would Think That Would Be Fiscally Stupid On Their Part. Anyway, What Would Be The Best Way To Fight What I Believe Is Outrageous Price To Pay For What Could Have Been A Repair Or Even If Replaced Is A High Amount To Pay.

You will have to pay. Whether or not the rental car company has insurance is not relevant. The price seems in line with windshield replacement costs. You still owe.
You say you have "full coverage". "Full coverage" although a misnomer these days, usually means Liability, collision and comprehensive. Comprehensive covers glass breakage. Are you sure that you don't have comprehensive? It would be uncommon for you not to have it since you have "full coverage"..

Is The Sentence Ok As Is, Or Do You End The Sentence After &Quot;Repairs?&Quot;?
Truck 112, 127, And 131 Are Scheduled For 1Pm Windshield Repairs, In Addition, 127 Will Need A Headlamp Replacement.

You'd use a full stop or a semicolon. If filling in a truck report, I'd go with the full stop. (If I were discussing Shakespeare, I'd be more inclined to scatter a few semicolons about the place.)

• Truck 112, 127, and 131 are scheduled for 1pm windshield repairs. In addition, 127 will need a headlamp replacement.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You might say "trucks" (plural), and you might want to omit the "Oxford comma" after "127".
