Ways that truck glass varies from normal auto glass.
- To avoid rocks flying into the rig's windshields, truck drivers normally allow plenty of space between their rig and the truck in front of them, especially on tough roads.
- Semi truck drivers park in safe areas far from natural hazards or potential vandals.
- Truck drivers are specialists. The moment they do get a chip or crack in their windshields, they get it fixed right away.
One major difference, however, is commercial vehicle insurance. To adhere to higher insurance criteria, truck drivers must get their glass fixed as quickly as they experience an issue. Click for Windows Repair information.
The glass that goes into a truck is generally a little more tough as opposed to a car's glass. Whilst that may be the case, trucks ordinarily log more highway miles than cars. For that reason the probability of experiencing a glass chip or crack is much higher.

Whats This Called Carpart?
Its The Slide For The Sunroof The Part Thats Inside Mine Broke And I Need A Replacement But Whats It Called
Sunroof glass or metal panel is called the sliding panel. Sunroof inside sliding panel headliner colored is called interior trim. The motor is the motor the switch is the switch and track mechinism bolts to the roof of the car the motor moves cables that push or pull on the sliding panel rear guides on each side Lever and slots on those guides allow the window to tilt up at the rear. Front guides just follow the sliding panel in the track slots. And behind the sliding panel is a drip rail that directs water to each side to run down the 4 drain tubes Each Manufacture uses different names for each part. If a guide or cable or tilt linkage is broken it cannot be replaced with out first removing the entire headliner dropping the track and motor then removing the cable that pushes and pulles on that part. Not a job for most car owners.
Buying A Car, Need An Opinion On The Situation?
I'M Buying A 2003 Eclipse Gts, It'S Silver, The Wheels Are Ruined (Scratched And Chipped Good), The Car Smells Of Smoke, There'S A Scratch On The Windshield From The Wipers That Is A Little Less Than The Size Of A Dollar, The Car Rear Brakes And Rotors Are Pretty Well Worn, But The Car Runs Great. The Guy Serviced The Engine Every 3-5K Miles. The Guy Want'S $8500 For It. He Said He Looked Up The Value On Kbb, Which I Looked Up On Kbb, And Edmund, And The Value Is Way High. I Put It As A Fair Conditioned Car, As There Are Some Repairs That Need A Professionals Work. I Want To Offer Him 6500, Which Is Right Near The Kbb Value (He Based His Off Of 10K, And Dropped It $1500). The Guy Is Retired, It Was His Wifes, He As A Ram Hemi Truck, And A Chevy Suv. His Wife Is Getting To Old To Get In It, And They Need Space For His Boat, And Extra Cash From Insurance And Such. He Said If He Can'T Sell The Car, He'Ll Sell The Truck. I Printed Off Copy'S Of The Kbb Value, And The Edmund Value,As Well As The Parts That Need Fixing. How Should I Approach Talking To Him? He'S Been Trying To Sell It For At Least A Month As The Car Has 1K Miles On It From The Price On The Sales Board. I Called Him Yesterday To Find Out If My Dad And I Can Go Down To See It, And Offer Him A Price. He Said It Was To Late In The Afternoon (It Was 8:30), So We Settled On Sunday. He Called Me At 9 This Morning And Asked Me If I Wanted To Come Down Today To See It. Do You Think That He Might Drop The Price? Is It Worth 6500 From What I'Ve Said? He Seems Like Your Average Guy. Please And Thanks For The Help!
Man the economy is so messed up, you can offer him anything. It's like your not gonna be able to find another car out there. I would be careful though regarding the repairs. Sounds like he has a son or he himself beat on that car. Just be careful my friend and don't fall in love with this car. There are thousands and thousands of cars out there.
How Do I Correct Windshield Wipers Not Staying In Contact With Windshield?
I Just Replaced The Windshield Wipers For My Car (Full Blade Assembly, Not Just Blades) And Have Just Had My First Need To Use Them. The Passenger Side Wiper Barely Contacts The Windshield And The Driver'S Side Is Not Much Better. Long Story Short, The Wipers Don'T Contact The Windshield Near Hard Enough, When At All. How Do I Correct This Without Having To Pay Out The Wazoo? Off Hand I Don'T Remember The Brand, But I Believe They Were Bosch And I Believe The Problem Not To Be In The Wiper Blade And Assembly Replacements But That The Problem Was Likely Present Before I Got The Car. How Does One Fix This Problem?
For What It'S Worth, These Are On A 1984 Camaro Sport Coupe
Remove the blade assembly and place the arm back in position. It should touch the windshield and have a good tension toward the glass. If not, grip the lower part of the arm firmly in one hand and bend the upper half toward the windshield about 1/2". Do another 1/2" if the first bend does not work. The most likely reason is someone vandalizing the wipers when the dealer had it. Also check if the mount end of the arm is twisted out of position. Use a pliers to correct.
