Ways that truck glass varies from normal auto glass.

  • Experienced big rig truck drivers realize that they should not trail other big rigs too closely in bad road conditions. This minimizes the likelihood of rocks kicking up.
  • Prevention is key and truck drivers understand that. Because of this, they normally park in protected areas.
  • Your big rig windshield cracks or chips are repaired as soon as possible.

One notable contrast, however, is commercial vehicle insurance. Most service vehicles must be in top shape in order to be driven, so truck drivers should swiftly address windshield damages to make sure that they do not break the terms of the business vehicle insurance policy. The glass that goes into a truck is commonly a little more tough as compared to a car's glass. Don't let that fool you. While the glass may be more durable, trucks spend more time on the road. Because of this, they are at increased risk of getting chips and cracks in their windshield.

I Put It As A Fair Conditioned Car, As There Are Some Repairs That Need A Professionals Work. Man the economy is so messed up, you can offer him anything. It's like your not gonna be able to find another car out there. I would be careful though regarding the repairs. Sounds like he has a son or he himself beat on that car. Just be careful my friend and don't fall in love with this car. There are thousands and thousands of cars out there.

How Do I Correct Windshield Wipers Not Staying In Contact With Windshield?
I Just Replaced The Windshield Wipers For My Car (Full Blade Assembly, Not Just Blades) And Have Just Had My First Need To Use Them. The Passenger Side Wiper Barely Contacts The Windshield And The Driver'S Side Is Not Much Better. Long Story Short, The Wipers Don'T Contact The Windshield Near Hard Enough, When At All. How Do I Correct This Without Having To Pay Out The Wazoo? Off Hand I Don'T Remember The Brand, But I Believe They Were Bosch And I Believe The Problem Not To Be In The Wiper Blade And Assembly Replacements But That The Problem Was Likely Present Before I Got The Car. How Does One Fix This Problem? For What It'S Worth, These Are On A 1984 Camaro Sport Coupe

Remove the blade assembly and place the arm back in position. It should touch the windshield and have a good tension toward the glass. If not, grip the lower part of the arm firmly in one hand and bend the upper half toward the windshield about 1/2". Do another 1/2" if the first bend does not work. The most likely reason is someone vandalizing the wipers when the dealer had it. Also check if the mount end of the arm is twisted out of position. Use a pliers to correct.
