How is big rig windshield care different from regular care?
- Semi truck drivers are trained to avoid following other big rigs that often kick up rocks on low-quality highways and roadways.
- Avoidance is key and truck drivers comprehend that. Because of this, they generally park in secure areas.
- Your big rig windshield cracks or chips are repaired right away.
One significant difference, however, is commercial vehicle insurance. Whenever a truck driver sees a glass problem, they should get it fixed immediately. This will keep their truck in great standing with the commercial insurance policy. Click for Windshield Replacement Cost information.
Big rig windshields are constructed to last. While that may hold true, trucks commonly log more highway miles than cars. Therefore the probability of experiencing a glass chip or crack is much higher.

Insulating Around Replacement Windows?
What Are Some Opinions Of The Best Way To Insulate Around The Replacement Windows When You Install Them. I Am Currently Using Batt Insulations And Pushing It In All Around The Window With A Putty Knife, Since I Have Tons Of Extra Batts To Use. What Has Anyone Else Had Success With? Is That Non-Expanding Foam Any Good? At $5 A Can Its Quite Pricey. Just Curious Of Different Or Most Successfull Options Out There.
When we had our windows replaced, the professional installers use batt insulation as well. The expanding foam stuff might seem to give a more complete fill, but I would expect that the time and mess (not to mention the cost as you did) would not make that attractive. I'm betting that in order to get a more complete application, you would be "over filling" the gaps and then would have to sand or saw it down in order to get the molding back in place. I'd stick to the batting and be sure not to pack it too tight. The insulating properties come from the trapped air in the insulation not from the fiberglass. So keep on trucking and good luck.
Chysler 300 Series-Info. Please?
If You Have Or Know Of Someoen That Has The Chrysler 300 Series, Do Yo Ufind It Costly To Maintain ( Gas, Repair, Etc.) And Also If You Are A Woman Do You Find It Cumbersome To Drive??
because it is a new series, the cost of maintenance hasn't really been well established outside of tune ups, oil changes, etc. most 300s on the road right now are running well. i have driven several of these when i worked for a car rental company and in my opinion, they are cumbersome to drive in the beginning. i find the rear windshield to be too small so its hard to reverse. but like driving any car, SUV or even a commercial truck....after a while you get used to the size and can manage it well.
