How is big rig windshield care different from regular care?
- Semi truck drivers are taught to avoid following other big rigs that generally kick up stones on low-quality highways and roads.
- Semi truck drivers park in safe areas away from natural hazards or potential vandals.
- Your big rig windshield cracks or chips are repaired right now.
One major contrast, however, is commercial vehicle insurance. Most service vehicles must be in top shape to be driven, so truck drivers should quickly address windshield damage to make sure that they do not violate the terms of the business vehicle insurance. Click for Windshields information.
The glass that goes into a truck is usually a little more tough as compared with a car's glass. However, if you drive a commercial truck or van, you understand that the risk you will face of damage as you log a lot of highway miles is a bit more than the risk a driver of an economy car will face.

regarding the head liner, they were originally fiberboard, if yours can be recovered then you can get fabric and 3M spray adhesive from sailrite. (that's how we fixed the headliner in our K10 it 's much cheaper). this can save you over $300.
our headliner still looks good after 5years (and no sag)

Where Can I Go To Get A Windshield Replaced In My Dodge Durango-- Here'S The Catch---- In South Korea, Seoul??
I Need My Windshield Fully Replaced And Don'T Want To Go Through My Insurance Because The Deductible Is 500.
Where Can I Go To Take My Foreign Suv In Seoul, South Korea Where I Would Get A Good Price And Not Be Taken. So Far After I Contacted The Dodge Dealer Near Songpa-Gu I Was Quoted 700.00 Bucks Or 682,000 Krw At Some Auto Glass Shop Called Young Jin'S Auto Glass..... I Think That Price Is Very High.
That is definitely for a new windshield, as you can easily find a used one for about 150-300 max. back in N. America.
As you are in Korea, good luck in finding a used Durango windshield ~ there just isn't the market for it, and not enough wrecked vehicles. And shipping a used one from the States or Canada would be far too costly. You could try to talk the dealer down in price, but you would likely still pay more than your deductible; or see what they can do on a used window. ($700 for a new window in Korea is not all that bad actually).
However, do some more checking, and don't rule out some of the smaller shops ~ just be careful and make sure you are getting an OEM part.
Is the damage irreversible? Check to see if it can repaired, as some cracks up to 10 inches long can be fixed. Anyway, I would think you are going to have to shell out and pay the 500 for your insurance; unless of course you can find a used one somewhere.
I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for, sorry, but I think you are kind of in an uncommon situation. Not many American cars on the road in Korea.
Good luck ~ M.
Someone Broke My Back Window......?
I Took My Car To School And Someone Broke My Back Window, It Was Not Parked Inside Of The School So I Cant Find Out Throught The Security Cameras. They Didnt Take Anything Though, Is There Any Possible Way That I Can Find Out Who It Was? O And If The Car Has Insurance It Can Still Cover The Damages Right? I Am In The Insurance But My Dad Put Down As Driving The Truck And Not My Car.
If it is just the glass that was broken with no body damage then there are basically 3 options.
1) if you have "glass coverage" on your policy, it would be replaced for 0 deductible or a very low deductible.
2)if you do not have "glass coverage" but do have "comprehensive" coverage, you might be able to go this route as long as the replacement cost is greater than your deductible.
3)just replace the window yourself and pay out of pocket to avoid an insurance claim.
FYI, usually a single glass claim won't increase your insurance, but if you have multiple claims in a short amount of time, then your insurance might be prone to increases.
