Here are some differences between truck glass issues vs. auto glass issues.

  • Experienced big rig truck drivers understand that they should not trail other big rigs too closely in bad road conditions. This decreases the likelihood of rocks kicking up.
  • Prevention is key and truck drivers recognize that. Thus, they generally park in safeguarded areas.
  • Truck drivers are professionals. The moment they do get a chip or crack in their windshields, they get it repaired right away.

Semi truck drivers and big rig truck drivers will carry commercial insurance. Commercial truck insurance policies will have various levels of tolerable equipment conditions than standard car insurance policies. To comply with higher insurance criteria, truck drivers must get their glass fixed as quickly as they experience an issue. Click for Windshield Replacement information.

The fabrication of a truck's windshield glass is a little bit of heavier duty than a car. While that may hold true, trucks ordinarily log more highway miles than cars. For that reason the probability of experiencing a glass chip or crack is much higher.

To Do List For 1997 F250 That Got Pulled Into Salt Water With A Boat?
I Just Got A 1997 F250 4X4 With The 7.3 Turbo Diesel And 5 Speed Manual Trans. The Previous Owner Was Putting A Boat Into The Salt Water (About A Week Ago) When The E Brake Cable Broke And The Truck Slid Into The Water. The Truck Was Pretty Well Submerged For A Few Minutes. He Said He Drained All The Fluids And Such Immediately. I Just Got It Yesterday And I Rinsed Everything Pretty Well With Fresh Water And Started Pulling Parts Off And Cleaning Them But I Could Use Help With A List Of Things To Do To Get It Running Properly. I Know I'Ll Need To Replace The Computer, Fuse Panel, Flush The Block, Fuel Tanks, Bleed The Lines, Fuel Filter, New Gaskets, All That Good Stuff But An In Depth List (I Know It Will Be A Lot) Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Such As Any Suggestions On Parts Cleaners, Whether The Turbos Need A Rebuild, Cleaning, Or Replacement, Etc. Thank You.

Once a vehicle goes swimming, it is never going to be the same, The electrical wiring will corrode, and it will become a nightmare. If you want to reduce the damage, start disassembling the vehicle. Take the bed off of the truck, open all wiring harnesses and rinse them out.with clean water. Do the same with every electrical harness and junction. Pull the dash out, and clean every wire. Expect to have to replace the instrument cluster, any radio, and speakers.

Take the doors apart, if the windows are manual, hose them out well. If they are power, or it has power locks, expect to have to replace the motors, lock actuators and switches.

The cost of parts alone is going to exceed the value of the truck (prior to it going swimming)

You may want to consider just parting the truck out, or buying another truck with a bad motor and trans and doing a switch .

What Is This Part Called? 1996 K1500 Chevy?
I Am Looking For A Replacement Part For My 1996 Chevy And I Dont Know What This Part Of The Truck Is Called. The Truck Is An Extended Cab And The Part I Need Is Just Below The Passenger Side Window. It Is The Square Section Below The Window. From Left To Right It Stops At The Front Of The Trucks Bed And Goes To The Door And Top To Bottom Wise It Goes From Directly Under The Window To The Bottom Of The Truck. Passenger Side, Extended Cab. I Am Talking About The Window That Is On The Cab Part Of The Truck, Not The Actual Passenger Side Window. And Any Links To A Replacement Part Would Be Greatly Appreciated! Thank You!

Sounds like that part is called "the truck"

If Latter-Day Saints Knew The Extent Of Church Holdings In Eli Lilly, Would A Class Action Lawsuit Result?
If A Window Repair Shop Breaks Windows At Night, (Ventura) Or A Tow Truck Owner Throws Nails On A Freeway Near His Town (St. George), Isn'T It The Same...If A Church Generates Depression In Its Membership And Yet Profits By It, Thanks To Owning Stock In The Most Popular Seller Of Drugs Used By Mormons In Utah? Shouldn'T The Grand Jury Be Allowed This Data? Why Is It Being Insulated From The Truth? If False, Why Is The Paperwork Being Kept From Them? Must Researchers Always Spill The Beans Directly To The Public? Why? .

After researching for a while, the only link I could find between Eli Lilly and the LDS church was that one of the head-honcho's at Eli Lilly happens to be Mormon. That in no way shows that the church owns the company or stock in it.

Please provide a source that has proof that the LDS church own stocks or admit that you are simply trying to stir the pot by spreading unsubstantiated rumors.
