How is big rig windshield care different from regular care?
- To prevent rocks flying into the rig's windshields, truck drivers normally allow a lot of space between their rig and the truck ahead of them, especially on rough roads.
- Prevention is important and truck drivers comprehend that. Consequently, they typically park in protected areas.
- Truck drivers are experts. The moment they do get a chip or crack in their windshields, they get it repaired as soon as possible.
Semi truck drivers and big rig truck drivers will carry commercial insurance. Commercial truck insurance will have different levels of acceptable equipment conditions than typical car insurance policies. Most service vehicles must be in tip-top shape to be driven, so truck drivers should swiftly address windshield damage to make sure that they do not violate the terms of the business vehicle insurance. Big rig windshields are built to last. Don't let that fool you. Although the glass may be tougher, trucks spend more time on the road. Because of this, they are at more significant risk of getting chips and cracks in their windshield.

What Do You Think Of My Short Story? It'S For A Contest?
I'M Entering A Short Story Contest That Only Requires It To Be Less Than 500 Words. What Do You Think? Would It Be Embarrassing To Enter It?
The Hypnotic Melody Of An Ice Cream Truck Could Be Heard Coming Down The Street. The Sound Triggered Some Childish Impulse And I Abruptly Stood Up As If To Catch It, Then Realized What I Had Done And Sat Down Again. All Of A Sudden, The Memories Of My Childhood Flooded Into My Mind: Chasing The Ice Cream Truck In The Sweltering Heat Of Summer, Driving With The Windows Rolled Down And The Radio Blasting, Sipping Ice Cold Lemonade, Biking Around The Neighborhood Until Sweat Blurred My Vision. A Sigh Escaped My Throat. I Was Home Alone, Doing Homework, While Eating Cold Noodles. The Simple Innocent Happiness Of My Childhood Was A Stark Contrast To The Situation I Found Myself In. How Did I Get To Be So Alone? I Asked Myself. What Did I Do Wrong?
If Only I Could Be 10 Again! If Only I Could Travel Back To The Time When The Biggest Problem In My Life Was Whether The Neighbors Would Be Allowed To Come Out And Play. That Time When Laughter, Like Church Bells Ringing Merrily, Escaped From My Throat Thoughtlessly. Before The Pressures Of Advanced Classes And The Constant Fear Of Being Inadequate: There Wasn’T Much To Expect From A 10 Year Old Other Than Good Behavior. I Had Been The Apple Of My Parents’ Eye Back Then; I Had Met All Their Basic Requirements Of Me. But Life Was Different Now. Instead Of Being Overcome By Smiles And Laughter, I Found Myself Giving Into Tears And A Runny Nose At Least Once A Week, Sobbing Secretly Behind Closed Doors. My Life Was Riddled With The Fear Of Not Getting Straight A’S, The Scorning Of My Parents When I Did One Little Thing Wrong, Struggling To Balance All Of My Extracurricular Activities. Yet It Was Never Enough. I Didn’T Have Friends, I Was Alone Too Much. It Was A Friday Night And I Was Eating Cold Noodles By Myself.
I Began To Sob Uncontrollably. I Longed For Friends And The High School Experience But I Knew I Could Never Live Out These Fantasies. Although I Was Friendly, I Was Awkward. Homework Took Up All Free Time. There Was No Hope For True Friends Or The Carefree Laughter That I Had Taken For Granted When I Was Young. My Heart Began To Break As I Resolved Myself To A Life Of Loneliness.
As I Sat Up, The Stone In My Class Ring Caught The Light. As I Gazed At It I Realized All The Time That Had Passed. I Was A Junior In High School, Mature And Intelligent And Fortunate Enough To Have Pleasant Childhood Memories. My Priorities Began To Rearrange Themselves. I Shouldn’T Be Wishing To Go Back In Time; I Should Be Waiting Patiently To Go Forward And Find Happiness In My Future.
Slowly, I Wiped My Tears, Stood Up, And Went To Make A Glass Of Lemonade While Blasting The Radio And Thinking About Where I Wanted To Go To College.
First of all, WOW....
It is really amazing and I could just imagine everything.
You will most definitely win the contest.
You repeated some phrases, such as the sigh from my throat/ laughter escaped from throat. you could maybe switch one of those to 'lips'.
I think that you exaggerated just a bit about the crying jags. I get the once a week crying and all, but one second she is fine and the next she is crying. Try to smooth out that transition, okay?
You could maybe find a replacement for something: cold noodles. instead of saying cold noodles twice, maybe you could say 'soggy chinese food' on one of those.
You might want to explain what had 'gone wrong' in your life: did you get too absorbed in school or what? On one paragraph, you describe how good your life was before and then how it is now and how it changed. WHY and HOW did it change. focus on those two.
For the ending, instead of finishing off with the 'where i wanted to go to college', maybe you could say, "....blasting the radio and dialing with a smile to my friend."
I feel like I gave tons of corrections, so dont get offended or anything.
Your piece was extraordinary and you are really and truly talented.

Hope this helps!
Is Windshield Replacement Covered In Statefarm Insurance Texas?
In Some States The Deductible Is Waived For Damaged Windshield Replacement. What About Texas? Can I Get A Free Windshield Replacement For My Damaged Windshield? It Is Cracked By A Small Rock Fell From A Truck. The Crack Is Twelve Inches Long . My Deductible Is $250. I Have Full Coverage Liability Insurance Of Statefarm. I Live In Dallas, Texas. Without Insurance I Can Do The Replacement For $175.
Generally in Texas, if it can be repaired the insurance company will waive the deductible; if it has to be replaced, you pay the deductible.
I've never seen a glass damage waiver on an auto policy in Texas, but I don't do much personal lines insurance here. You can always call the 800 number for State Farm and ask.
Can I Buy Just The Fiberglass Window For A Used Camper?
My Husband And I Just Bought A Used Chevy Cheyenne With A Neat Camper. It Has A Full Rear Door That Replaces The Tailgate And I Cant Find Anything Online Like It. The Forward Window To The Camper Is Missing, As Is The Rear Truck Window Glass. We'D Like To Close Off Both But Want To Be Able To See The Kids In The Camper.
You could always try ordering original replacement or after market parts through your nearest RV dealer...
Or if you are looking for a cheaper solution, you might want to visit your nearest Home Depot, Rona, or Big Box Building Centre with the measurements you need. Most of these places sell plexiglass (transparent plastic or fiberglass sheets), and they will cut it to the measurements you need. It's cheap & you can order it in different thicknesses.
The only real limitations with plexiglass are that it does yellow over time. After a couple of years, you'll likely want to replace it yet again. And it's more flexible than conventional glass, so there can sometimes be a wind-noise factor to contend with, but this is usually easily overcome by purchasing thicker sheets, fitting the sheets properly, and reinforcing if/where necessary.
