sorry but there really is no other solution other than getting a new tank if the tank is cracking it will continue, it probably started due to the heat, my only idea would be to go on craigslist and see if you can find a used cage, youi can usually find them pretty cheap or even free. just for the record a crack could get worse and eventually hurt your animals. i can think of one thing you can do you could try to reinforce the part that is cracking by using some strong glue and glueing some polycarbonate plastic to the part that is cracking, then put that part of the tank facing away from view so you still have a good view of the tank.
