How Much Does It Cost To Repair Car Window And Door Handle On Geo Tracker?
I Am Thinking About Buying A 1995 Geo Tracker For Sale By The Owner And Am Hoping To Trim A Few Hundred Off The $1500 Sale Price. On My Initial Walkaround, The Only Faults I Noticed Were That The Driver Side Inside Door Handle Doesn'T Work (You Have To Reach Out And Open It From The Outside) And The Windows Can'T Roll Up All The Way. I Haven'T Done A Test Drive Yet, But Can Anyone Tell Me How Much It Might Cost Just To Repair The Inside Door Handle And Both Windows So They Roll Up And Down? Are These Repairs I (A Novice) Can Do Myself With The Proper Time, Parts And Instructions? Also, The Window Handle On The Passenger Side Is Missing The Top Piece--Can That Be Easily And Cheaply Fixed Or Replaced?
the window shouldnt be a problem for a novice. Window usually are something really stupid. Pick up a service manual and it will show the operation. Should be an easy fix.
The door handle is easier, just pick up a part at a salvage yard for a few bucks.
As for the idiot comment from the Jeep lover. Ive had Jeeps, my family had Jeeps and so have others I have known. They are gas guzzling crap that breaks down on a whim. Only a fool would buy one. The Geo may be cheapish in initial quality(ugly factory paint colors), but it isn't crap and it a whole lot better investment for the buck. Easier to get parts for (Its sounds crazy but its true), cheaper insurance, easier on gas ect....
Buy it, you'll love it.

Help! Windshield Repair
Question Details: I Just Got My Windshield &Quot;Repaired&Quot; By Some Guys Who Tried To Get Me To Replace It Since The Beginning. I Asked Them To Do The Repair First B/C I Wanted To See What It Would Like Look Before I Got A Replacement.
It Looks Exactly The Same! No Change At All. I Think They Just Want Me To Replace The Windshield, But I Would Rather Have It Repaired Correctly. The Rock Chip Is About The Size Of A Nickel...It'S Tiny And I Just Can'T Believe It Would Still Be Visible If They Had Done It Right.
Can Anyone Recommend A Company? Preferably From Personal Experience. I Live In Charlotte, Nc.
I have a couple of comments:
1st I'm really sorry you had to deal with a hack!
2nd if he did actually put any "repair" material (resin) in the chip it is sealed and no one will be able to repair that particular chip.
Also, if the chip was new it should have come out clear (not able to see) if it was repaired with a suction kit. Basically the air and impurities should have been removed with suction and then replaced with resin then pressure to push the resin into all the parts of the chip. The last step of the repair process is to cure it with a UV lamp and then buff the area to be sure that it is smooth again.
In the future when you get a rock chip put a piece of clear tape on it ASAP, to keep it clean and dry. Don't wash your car with high pressure wash until you get it fixed. And _if_ you can find someone who offers repair first service use them. Not a replacement company who also will repair.
Lastly, GOOD LUCK!!
How Hard Is It To Fix A Leaking Radiator, Ac & Window?
I'M About To Buy A Car, And He Said The Radiator Leaks, The Passenger Window Doesn'T Roll Down & The Ac Doesn'T Work. How Would I Fix That And How Much Would It Cost?
it depends on how much the radiator is leaking weather you can fix it or not ! usually with old radiators you fix one place and another place will break out if it,s rotted ! as for the window it might be the switch on the door or the window motor ! the AC it might need to be charged ! it,s hard to put a price tag on the stuff because you don,t really know what,s wrong !
